"Dead Week" - A film by Kyle Stebbins (and company)

I'm off to Seattle tomorrow morning where I will be corresponding via CeltX with Max to finish the script up once and for all. It should be a fun trip.

I'll tell you one thing... our voyage wouldn't be complete without A) A trip to Whidbey Island trying to haul an upright piano out onto the beach and B) a visit to the great Bruce Lee's grave.

Both of which are on my (silent) agenda.

Photos coming soon.
Looking forward to the photos :)

Kyle, I got another letter from Dean Petrich today saying that he would love to have you stop by Huckleberry Hill when you guys are on Whidbey and that he'd give you a tour of the place. I HIGHLY encourage you to do so as you will not see anything quite like that place again. In fact, you won't see anything quite like Deano either.

If we make it out there then it will DEFINITELY be with Dean. I really enjoyed your posts about him in the FM blog. Sounds killer.

We're at Denver Int'l at the moment and I'm frantically searching google for directions to the actual Bruce Lee grave (come on, people... wouldn't that be some cool ****?)

Anyway, we'll be off and in the air again in about an hour, this time we'll be Seattle-bound.

Jeff, that's awesome man! - We'll definitely be making a trip out there now. Jimi Hendrix is on the list for Seattle gravesites, too, but I don't want to turn this into one of THOSE kinds of trips.

Maybe we'll go throw rocks at Microsoft headquarters, too.

;)

Ooh the hendrix grave would be cool though. Was up in Seattle earlier this year. Such a fun city, with so much to do. Have a good time!

i want to go and i have some big rocks:thumbsup:

You're invited! Get your ass up here and we'll give you a front row seat in our Elantra! :)

A lot of beautiful scenery was photographed today. Washington is a gorgeous place and our relatives have been very gracious hosts. Tomorrow we'll be heading up to Mount St. Helen's for the day.

I'll try and get some pictures up tonight.

Where's Max?

I have been doing a lot of research on zombie makeup. Anyone have good advice/tips/lessons learned? I've got a lot of friends who are good at makeup and I've seen some rather convincing wounds... but I need all the help I can get.

I came across this first:

I'm going to keep looking but there is some good insight there. This is cool ****!!

What kind of zombie make up are you trying to do? Recently dead, decomposed dead? What kind of wounds?

Here's some stuff I did:

Very recently dead. Fresh. Disgusting. -- Perhaps a mix of both. The oldest they can be is one week dead... no more.

I like what you did. - The guy with no arm is quite impressive though I did read that the actor was missing an arm already... I don't think I'll have that advantage for Dead Week (that is unless there are actors/badasses from dvxuser in the Nebraska area who are missing limbs and want to be in a movie!).

well then you're going for a shock look where all the blood has recently left the face (instead of decay). Shade under neath the eyes, cheek bones. White creme make up for the face. A little bit of red under the lower eye lid and blue on the lips.

You can do nubs, just have your actor bend his elbow into his shirt sleeve. Some spirit gum, nose and bone wax, make-up and fake blood. You can do nubs for fingers using the same thing. And there's tons of tutorials out there online.

You're just over in Denver?

Yeah, Mark, screw Warner Bros and all those great opportunities. We want comics!

Wow! How the hell did I miss my own presence in this thread... Mark TOLD me that PETA was after me and I assumed he was just drunk. Rogue-ster... see... you may not want to be the focus of attention with FM... :)

Funny about the bird thing... check this out... this bird was seeking shelter behind our grip truck on the Macgregor shoot (on the salt flats) and the conditions were so brutal that day that I didn't want to leave him out there in the middle of nowhere in the blowing salt... so before we left I caught him and let him go behind the hotel back in town.

Most animals like me and immediately accept me... people? Mmm... mixed response.
