SINAMON PRODUCTIONS presents "FALLING"

have we gone off the rails here?

Speaking of rails.. how's the track build going for the dolly? I'll post some pics of my connectors in a bit. The only reason I got so complex was becasue the dolly as beginning to see more use. I actually now travel with just the wheels in my bag and then have to buy new track if I'm in a city where I haven't built track before. I'll have to make my connectors portable as well, so I can just pack them as well, but the first set are JB welded to one section of track...

Where the hell is Penguin anyway? Get his butt over here or I'll cry conspiracy. Or maybe I'll just cry...

Simon: anymore stunt training videos you have to post?

Unfortunately not... and the training hall is closed for the next 3 weeks. :(

LOL!

You guys are crazy...

Just a little :D

Yeah those tracks... the connection is simple but it works. Now I have to finish the shims. That needs some more time. I'll snap a few pictures in a minute :)

Here we go:

hey that works. good idea on the cross bars too. I'm here struggling with a way to use aluminum flat bars which are permanently attached to the rails. your way definitely works, especially if you're not traveling too far with the dolly.

How far are your locations anyway and how many shots do you plan to do with the dolly?

For Blood & Coffee I've been planning my shots to have the camera permanently mounted on the Jib and Dolly so that every single shot is moving.. even if it's only the movement of a foot throughout the entire scene... complicated but it's definitely the direction I wanna go with my narrative and visual set up.

The locations are super close. the closest is about 5 minutes and the farest about 15 minutes, by foot :D (I take the car of course)

I am going to use the dolly in probably 6 shots. A few static shots and then with my stabilizer and handheld probably.

I've got no jib yet, that might be the next project in the future.

It's actually an easy build, especially if you're doing a mini-jib and not a crane. With the Mini-Jib you can use it as your tripod, but then get some of those cool moving shots without having to change the setup OR you can just get it in one. I just built a 4ft Mini-Jib just for Blood & Coffee out of Ikea parts. Probably took shorter to build than building your dolly...

Yeah, I just got the permit of the city for the bridge location! Now I can officially run around with axes and guns in public and "kill" zombies :D

Woo-hoo for permits! and hurray for axes.

Dude I found a way for you to make a brief appearance in my movie. We'll have to flesh it out as it goes by though.

Maybe the menace that is Fat Monster can't be stopped... but they can be fought... even if they DO kill poor innocent pigeons!

Ok, Mark asked for some more fräuleins in here... well these are just for you Mark. I am sure they would drink a Stella with you in a heartbeat!

Ok ok, but we have some real fräuleins over here. Not like your's in the US, which can't stand so much beer:
