RED SHOES by Susanne Gressmann

So pleased you have finished and uploaded your film Susanne! Germany may win all the top places this time!!! Good luck!

Hello Mark,

thanks - perhaps Germany could leave one place to Texas or to LA!!!! More seriously: There will be hopefully other filmfests in DVXUSER - we enjoyed it so much and we are looking forward to another.

Good luck to you too.

Susanne

Hello to all,

I heard a little bit often in the last messages the word war! I prefer the word friendship. If there is somebody from everywhere in the world (America, Europa,....) and need a filmlocation in Berlin, we have two single beds in our livingroom and guests are very welcome. Also we have always red wine at home. Cheers!

!!!!!! You are a doll Susanne!!! We will seriously attempt to make a trip to Berlin within the next couple years. So nice to have a new friend.

You shouldn't forget Lithuania, Mark :D

Susanne, nice to have even more europeans on board... dvx is really coming an international festival!

Tomas, we actually put Lithuania on our list first. Seriously. Tim and I are hoping to make a European jaunt within the next two years. We have a very good friend in England who we will visit first, but we definitely for sure will come to Vilnius for at least a couple days. Thanks so much for becoming a big part of this community. We all are looking forward to your film with great anticipation.

Hi Mark,

then we will wait for your visit!

Hi Tomas,

yes, it is a little bit international and it is nice to be part of this.

Hi Mik,

don't worry Mik - it wasn't an answer of your comment - only a general message!

Hi kurtmo,

Best wishes and good luck.

Nice short!
Great editing. The scene where the main character blows dust off the shoe box made me laugh. His acting is pretty belieavable too.

Good job!!

Alright, I am surprised at the progress I am making today. Another film to watch and discuss.

So without more of me rambling (which I will do during my review) here we go...rolling and reviewing:

Loved the clock actually. Though the room got much warmer the second time we looked at it. Something to keep in mind as you edit. Matching color shot to shot.

Nice flat he has there. Totally not his day. But nicely shot so far. My only thing so far rounding out the 2 minute mark is colors. I thought the the acting was great. So far it is looking great. Amazing how you shot in the open like that. Added so much more realism. I would be interested to know how large your crew was to shoot on location without much trouble. I love the score so far.

And the reoccurring red was simply magnificent. It is nice to see someone who can coordinate colors that well in a production.

Really cute. I loved it.

Loved it! Great film! I loved the setup with the shoe rack that force him into pulling out the red shoes. That scene had me smiling. I felt the time crunch. The music worked very well. I also liked the cinematography. Great shots and nice use of your city!
Stuff to work on: The indoors audio really echoed at times.
Again, this was a great, great film!
