RED SHOES by Susanne Gressmann

As I've already told you this is great news! I really hope you enjoy the moment. Should be a lot of fun. :)

I've still yet to enter a festival outside of DVXuser. I've done a few local things but nothing like paying to enter a real Festival.

Someday...

You guys deserve this! Hope you have a great time.

Thanks for you kind words Mike :). I am very excited about it and have still to think about, what I will say in front of the audience to present 'Red Shoes' before screening.

Ok, I am back from the oldest short film festival in the world. I don't think that I had the same experience as Wim Wenders, Martin Scorsese, George Lucas and Werner Herzog, who were in Oberhausen years before, but I enjoyed it very much. :Drogar-Happy(DBG):
All the filmmakers had to present their films before the screening, also me in the open screening, which wasn't part of the competition. I was so nervous that I missed half of what I wanted to tell the audience. It was very exciting to see our film on a big screen and to have the reaction of a non influenced audience. Not all reactions were nice , but most of them were positive. :2vrolijk_08:
I was surprised that a famous festival like this one in Oberhausen was only held in one cinema (with different screening rooms) and then there was only one location, the festival lounge, to meet people after screening. The festival was very open minded to all genres of film, with lots of international guests, but at the same time there was this intimate casual atmosphere - very charming.
To see how a film festival works and to see how people meet for important contacts, was an interesting experience.
I am very happy to have been part of the festival.

Here are some photographs!

Awesome! Looks like a very cool festival.
Must have been a really great experience for all involved.

Thank you Mike for commenting :). I think it was a great experience for everyone. Even though you could see that many of the people were used to being in festivals, while a minority, like me, were obviously at a festival for the first time.

I don't remember in which thread it was, but recently I read that somebody said that you are using too much time with photoshop. In my opinion you can use the whole day doing it and entertaining the dvxuser-members. Great, thank you very much - I am enjoying your sence of humor.

Susanne

BTW - the 'Red shoes scare me lady' is me!
