I work with Dustin on the morning shift at an ABC affiliate. I'm a video editor. It's just a temporary job while my fiancee goes to grad school. Then the two of us are going to start a theater company. It's cool to hear what everyone here does. Like working with M. Night. Which is insane.

Hey Hoarp,

Your post gave me an opportunity to ask a question that I've often had but have never asked. Every now and then I see members who decide to not identify where they are located. In your post above you say that you are doing freelance and apparently would like to do more steadicam work and yet you don't state where you are. How come? If you're in L.A. we would put you on our list and give you a shot when we have a paying gig that would justify trying you out. Similarly, I'm sure there are other users who would consider sending you work if you are in their neck of the woods. What's the deal with you guys who decide you don't want anyone to know what city you live in? Just curious, and I'm sure there's a good reason (stalkers?) but I can't figure out what it is.

Speaking of which, I've got a paying job for someone with an HVX who can shoot footage for us just south of Jacksonville, Florida. It's a pretty simple shoot and I'll be sending out a notice to users I know with Florida identifiers in their avatars as well as posting on the jobs thread. It made me think of several occasions when we've given out gigs to users simply because we saw their city or region on a post or on their avatar.
