Panasonic SD9 1080/24p HVX200 - Oh My!!!

I am as well.

Someone shoot a golf course fairway and post it in 24p.

That's what really got me concerned. Plus, it seemed to saturate the colors.

If the sun pops out this afternoon, I'd be happy to oblige.

I've been wanting to try out some things with it anyway.

I'm glad to be a part of it. So very happy with the quality this little camera puts out... cheers Panasonic.. Sure it's got a few of the weirds engineering features.. but those are easy to overlook..

could we have our own official thread independent of the HVX? Panny will have quite a few new cams to showcase in the coming months so might be nice

Yeah, the plugin locations are very odd and I can imagine they'd be frustrating to use.

A whole new subform......."consumer cams that might be worth a damn" :D

Kid... THat's a darn good quote. I think there's lots of amazingly good little cams out there if they have enough light. I mean, the SD9 looks better than my buddies DVX when shot outdoors... matches well with the HVX so it's a pretty darn good deal.

I'm in the market for a two small Camera (strictly and Strictly) for Green Screen.
Any reviews on Chroma keying with SD9?
I'd like to hear from people who actually used SD9 + Green Screen.

WEEN!!!

God I love Japanese Cowboy. And nice rodeo footage. I may have to pick up one of these as a "crash" b-camera for an upcoming shoot.

The SD100/HS100 also record native 24p. The SD300/TM300/HS300 record 24p-over-60i just like Canon camcorders.

If the SD9 is a "consumer cam that might be worth a damn", then the SD100 surely worth looking. It is out of production and can be found for about $500 online or on eBay.
