NETHERBORN - Directed by Mark T. Aro

Even a long high hallway in a metal building or shop... Or outside between two strong trees in a non windy area.

Did Matt discuss the wire rig with you last night? Do you have any questions? Call me and let me know how much you will need to make it and I will scrounge it up.

Let me know as soon as you can:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Nope we didn't go over that last night. I think that I just need to know the length the support wire needs to be and what structure it will be attaching to; so I can figure what is needed at the ends. The middle moving rig is easy.

I am going to shop for the gear to make the rig today. I still have the pull vest set up from the last shoot and can use that with the other stuff to save costs. Get my number from Matt and call me today on my cell. I am getting to the store around 4pm. I can wait around and we could meet after your work if you want. I figure I better start on that to test the completed rig before the shoot next week.

Gary, Thanks for coming by yesterday... sorry to be so detached, I had a real tight deadline at work and it was a crazy day. I didn't want you to think that I didn't appreciate the visit and all of the thought and work that you are putting into Netherborn. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Aw man, you know me, I was REALLY MAD and will never forgive you...ever. :crybaby: :( You:nads:Me (Cool I got to put down smilies I never get to use...YAY!)

How I really feel>>>:thumbup::)

Mark, I have put an electric controllable winch on the Hyperfly rig sled. Should really simplify the fly shots and make them very smooth. YAY!

sweetness!

Also, FYI, I am putting a plate on the Hyper-Fly rig that will allow the Hypercam low rig to mount. You will be able to fly the camera at your chosen angle over the actors and action for above shots if you so desire.

It will be able to fly away from someone too... :D

More arrows for your quiver! Sorry that I didn't have that done for PUSH, Matt. :crybaby:

And what a cute mug she has! Close-up! Wait... drool...

Mark, Troy is going to be the first flown on the Hyper-Fly rig. What a sucker...er, BRAVE MAN! Naw, it will be strong and work well. I have the weight distributed on three large pulleys. The secret will be to pull the cable really tight. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Gary,

There is a shot in flim (it is not specified in the script) where we will need to do the same action to a little boy (my son, 9 years old and about 50 lbs.)

Are we going to be able to do this with the harness that we have or is it too big for him?:Drogar-Dum(DBG):

GARY... I am still looking for a place to hook up the rigging. I can possibly shoot in my in-laws yard, but this is not preferred. Right now my brother is looking into shooting in his church parking lot and rigging on two light-poles... I will let you know. If we can't, Matt mentioned that it might be possible to set it up on the basketball court at your school. Do you think that this is a possibility? If so, we could go ahead and shoot the cemetery up there and make the most of the trip.

just thinking it through.

That is a good question. I have made my harness out of one single piece of fat, soft rope and I think that I can make it fit anyone. He will certainly be easy to lift!

Hmmmm. The light poles may work if they are not too light to take the tension of the rig. If they are cemented into the ground they will work well as long as they are tall enough for the height of the fly you need. Having them down in the Fresburg area will certainly save gas. The back yard will work too if the trees are solid hard woods with sturdy trunks. Again, you need the height of the tree to allow for your actor to fly away at the height you need. You need 15-20 feet of horizontal fly, and the rig needs 25-30ft for an easy fly beyond any green screen. I have 100ft of cable for the top wire and approximately 50ft for the control pull wire. That means we have to add the horizontal length to the two 'down' sides if necessary, shortening. I am limited to 50 total feet of electrical control wire to run the up and down. That is behind the camera. The puller can change direction though, and pull backwards if space is a concern. I wish we could use the inside of a large metal building... (*sigh*). Someday...

Concerns: What are the power capabilities of the church; house? Could we plug things in? (Saves fuel for the generators.) Windy areas that blow the green screens?

Now you know what we are needing.

Well it looks like it is real. Jen and I are currently working on Schedules, locations, cast and crew sheets and all of that good stuff. We start shooting this Friday. There are still a lot of unsecured locations, but hopefully we will get them nailed down.

Gary, Remind me please... are you going to be available next weekend or just this one?

You have me for the whole enchalada! I got out of the military event. Gave it to a captain to run... One of the joys of being a Major. :)

Am I going to have to being large ladders?

I don't see why you would. I can bring mine and that should be enough.
