Born in 1843, Samuel Perry Dinsmoor served proudly in eighteen battles of the Civil War, including the capture of Robert E. Lee. Elderly tour guides elaborate on S.P.'s behavior in the city council, his wild drinking bouts and libertarian cavortings with girls half his age, and the scandal caused when he dug up his first wife from Lucas cemetery in 1917. Voices are discreetly lowered at the mention of his second marriage at the age of 81 to a 20-year-old Czechoslovakian housekeeper or of the two children she bore him. Hey guys .... I agree, things are strangely quiet. As a frequent fest participant I know what it's like to carry your laptop around, or stay up all night, or duck into every internet cafe hoping to find the results announced. Hats off to you for not burning down the asylum while you are waiting.
Yes the votes went into the blend - o - matic but there is a period of checking them nonetheless as any system can be worked so it takes some human insight to look into human trickery. It's never much of a problem but happens on occasion and requires looking into and that takes time. This time, it's taking a little longer because our chief statistician and master vote checker (the incomparable Barry_S) has a nasty flu ... nasty .... like worse than 3 Mark Johnson post wrap party hangovers.
So he's doing his best to check those things. Also the MOD selected awards are not chosen until the final selected placings are announced.
So now the silence has been broken.
Yes cogs and wheels are turning behind the scenes, just a little slower than they have in the past sometimes, and yes we know it's important to you guys and are doing our level best to get the stuff out to you.
Sorry I don't have concrete times.
Chill if you can on next fest though. We're discussing a lot of things right now regarding making the nest fest one of the best in terms of prizes, theme, and voting processes and winner selections so it may not be tomorrow or this week even for next fest. Then again it maybe.
But lets meet halfway and you guys chill on that for a bit and we'll do our best to get the results up very soon.

I grew up near Lucas and stopped by there last month while I was home. You can still see Dinsmoor in the concrete coffin although he's getting pretty moldy.
