Up-Converting DVX 24p DV footage to HD

Whats the process to upconvert footage shot on the DVX100 (24Pa) to High Def (IE HVX-200)? Whats the image going to look like? I cant really wrap my head around it - taking standard DV up to HD must look horrible... This would be for landscapes and exteriors so perhaps that wouldnt be as bad? Anyone have experience with this? Anyone have screenshots of SD footage vs sd brought up HD? Is this no different than telecine up to 35 and if you shoot it correctly it will work (And if so what would consist of shooting it 'correctly'?)

Thanks for any insights.

It is for Magic Bullet instant HD. I have used it and can say that it works great. It doesn't look horrible like if you just scaled SD to HD because it uses analyzes the footage and interpolates where pixels should be. Granted, it's not as good as shooting in HD but it's damn close. Also, in that site, click on the upper right where it says examples for screenshots of footage before and after.

Hmm. Call me a skeptic but ... really? That is bringing the image up to 1920×1080??? The before/after images dont do much for me since they are keeping it the same size and just making it more crisp . I want to see a 720 x 480 image next to an up rezed 1920×1080 image. If this is true then.... amazing.

I just got InstantHD a few days ago and it is really good. Not as good as HD, of course but I've been using it like this:

DVCProHD comp
Uprez to 4K (film res) and then scale down to the comp size. It looks great but is a biatch to render.
