Leopard?

Has anybody taken the leap to Leopard? If so, does the P2 driver work?

I'll probably hold off a few more weeks till I'm finally completely done with my current project, but wondering if anybody else was out there testing the waters.

We have a theme on 2-pop about Leopard experiences. Your mileage may vary. AJA drivers not released yet. Decklink drivers released and we have one report of crashing, but I wouldn't base my upgrade strategy on one report. I have not upgraded any machines yet. Am starting with wife's MacBook since no video apps there... just our business accounting. And it's backed up.

Only advice I would offer would be to start with a blank drive and install from scratch or at the very least do archive and install. The folks who are having the most problems seem to be those who did an upgrade install.

ive got leopard going on my macbook and a PPC G5.
It aint worth the leap.
I've luckily had no issues so far. knock knock. My decklink works fine too.
Mail and some other apps quit on me alot.

I only updated them because it wouldn't kill me if something went wrong with them.

I advise you to wait. Not to mention - I think I like the old OS better, and a lot of people would agree.

and..... judging by the Apple Trainer listserve, there have been a lot of problems for some.

Clearly the people who have leopard have not really invested the time to mux a workflow in with their studio's needs. Spaces with Final Cut is ideal for me.I cant drag my editing suites out to a client, so I take my MacBookPro and use Spaces to organize. It is Amssive real estate gain. Also It Leopard fully takes advantage of our Intel chips. So it is more snappier. Find a work flow. It is worth the 129 bucks.

Your right it is worth $129 but it's also worth waiting for all the bugs to get shaken out. The 1st OS is always buggy.

I have Leopard on a clean install in a separate drive on a MacPro with FCS2. I've launched all apps, and they run fine so far, but no production work yet.

Also on a MBP with same approach without proapps.

I have had no issues, no bugs, with anything with my production company, Also not any issues with Adobe, Apple, ETC. major company aps.
