TQ248 is a Scammer

ANNOUNCEMENT:

It is not generally the policy of DVXuser to become involved in marketplace disputes as this section is typically 'buyer beware' and we do not accept responsibility for transactions that take place here...

HOWEVER... in this case we feel the need to step in. I have already compiled i.p., isp, and other information regarding this 'alleged' scammer.

I continue to compile relevant information, and I am asking anyone who was 'allegedly' scammed by this person, or that this person has 'allegedly' attempted to scam to contact me via pm. I am requesting that you send me any and all information you have on this person, including any communications you have had with this person. I will provide you an email address you can forward that information to.

Again, it is not standard policy for dvxuser to become involved, but we do not like to see our 'family' taken advantage of, or robbed, etc. In this case there is enough circumstantial evidence to warrant further investigation, and involvement from our side.

I will be compiling all of this information and we will be cooperating with any and all relevant law enforcement agencies concerning this matter, and will be forwarding this information to local law enforcement in the 'alleged' perpetrators area as well as the FBI if need be.

In the meantime, the person in question (dvxuser name TQ248) has until I am finished compiling this information to come here and publicly state his side of the case and/or make the situation right before I go ahead.

This is a serious matter and we will not stand for this kind of behavior within our community.

Thank you for your cooperation. In the meantime please do not post personal information (i.e. contact info) about the person in question publicly on this forum. Instead, forward it all to me.

Thank you for the effort, I am sure everyone would want to know this fraudster's real info (name, location, email, tel....etc.) so nobody else would get scammed by him/her again. Even after being banned from this forum, the person might re-register again with a different User ID.

I have done tons of transactions here and were fortunate enough to never have to face any incident. Everybody here have been superb and awesome. I even made some now very good friends from here.
 
Paypal will help you out, I bought a 35mm adapter on ebay, when it arived it was a real pos, seller claimed it worked with the fx1, I tested with fx1 zu1 and my hvx200, and it didn't work at all, paypal had me ship it back, I did, he refuced it, two times, I got my 400+ back, and I still have the pos adapter sitting in the corner, I'm not going to name names, but I've seen him on dvx user talking about these things, point is Paypal helped me out.

I think it's a generous act on behalf of DVXUser forum heads to do this (they really don't have to) but this gesture says alot about the forum and neerly all the attendees. Jason Ramsey said it best, at the end of the day ''this is a family''.

Future users will see this tread one day and be assured of the people and the practices at DVXUser to be ''ABOVE ALL ELSE, ABOVE BOARD''

I thought I was the only one scammed at first.

I've been waiting since July 7th for that camcorder.
 
Wow what a cool forum. Only one I've ever been a part of where they form a posse old west style and get ready for a lynching!
 
Hi all, I'm really sorry that those involved are going through this.. and I too am sorry for the members of this forum including the moderators and owner. Trust is so important now adays and its really sad when another dishonors this. I am just so sorry... On a more positive note it does sound like you all are in good hands though and have the protection and resources needed to get through this unpleasant situation. Keep your chins up!!

SB kyle... Forward the info, do not post it in this thread. It will have a snowball effect and make it harder to seed out the real facts from the BS this guy has been throwing around.

Agreed, but keep in mind this is not DVXuser policy. I'm sure the mods don't want people thinking that if they do happen to get ripped off, DVXuser will "take care of it".

Even if the mods intervene and help resolve the issue's, people will still have to BE VERY CAREFUL (even more so, hopefully) about who they buy from, and the steps they take to find out if it's a legitimate seller.

I know anyone can scam people, and in the buyers beware post it says the same thing, but in most cases I would NEVER buy from a junior member. There is not enough of a track record. This TQ-guy only had a handful of posts...

My thoughts exactly. I'm sorry for the people who got scammed. I just can't believe how someone can sink so deep to steal people's money. It goes just way beyond my understanding.
 
I've been asking for a FEEDBACK forum for a LONG time now as a a sub forum to the marketplace. Like ebay feedback tied to your username. We could also have a "hall of shame" forum for jerks like this.
 
I agree. After being here for a while, you get to know people, and have some sort of transaction with other members. If some guy just signed up and has one post selling something, common sense says to avoid them. If they have been here for 3 years, has a great rep with others, chances are he'll have a good record.

heres the deal he would post in threads and ask questions about his dvx that made me seem like he was legit and til i started talking to this guy i was sold on the camera when he gave me his package deal for 1600! i started talking to him and was sketched out right away. luckily i didnt send money but im just as mad that other members got ripped off. hes going :Drogar-Mark-07(DBG)
