Hey Guys...It's Jere from KSEEs past :)... Looking awesome guys...love the mood of your shots and good call on the HDR approach for VFX. Hope you can find some sleep somewhere in there. Look forward to hearing and seeing more. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Hey Brotha! Thanks for the comments... For those of you that don't already know... which is probably most of you... Jeremiah is going to lend some of his expertise at color-correction/DI to Sleeper. He is very talented in this area and that is his passion, so if we can fit it into his very busy schedule, then he will be lending some of his amazing talents to give the finished film a very nice final LOOK and help with the overall color.

Jeremiah,

We are going to be shooting at City Hall tomorrow morning and at the Library down the street on Saturday evening. You are welcome to come and hang!
Call me or email me for specifics.

UPDATE: We are off to start the last weekend of Production. Call time for the actors is 5:00 Pm so off we go!:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) We will see ya on the other side!:cheesy:

Well, it is past 2:00 in the morning and I am home from the shoot. We shot three scenes tonight and they all went very well. One of them was actually unbelievably perfect. It feels really great when one of the shots turns out better than the "Mark drawn" storyboards, because that is hard to do! We paid one of our actors as it was a wrap for them. The other wraps tomorrow.

We will have a couple stills in a bit some time soon of some of the great shots from tonight. Tomorrow (or I guess today since it is 2:00am) we shoot in City Hall. We have a morning setup and then evening setups. It will probably be a late night and we have a completely new camera move to try out. It should make for some amazing effects. We watched the footage back on Mark's 37 Inch HD TV. It looked awesome. The M2 footage through my Nikon 50mm f/1.4 rocked the house. Mark's wife Lisa made the best Tri-Tip for everyone and I ate a lot. YUM! We had an awesome actress/rock singer cameo in a small role tonight and she completely got in character. When tears are needed and you have someone who can tie in to a past hurt effectively, it takes a bit to get them out of that place again. We had our little Pekingese "Sushi" on the set for just that reason and she really helped the actress come back from that memory. Go little foo dogs! I hope this thread is keeping you informed and remaining entertaining. We are having a blast.

Off I go bright and early to help Mark load up the gear for todays three locations. The first is City Hall so we have to make sure we are on time. After today, we will be done with production and Post Production will begin. I am hoping everything goes smoothly today.:cheesy:

PRINICPAL PHOTOGRAPHY IS COMPLETE!!!

We Wrapped about 11:00 tonight and Matt just left after backing up the footage to my HD and his (just in case)! Right now I am typing with one eye closed, so i am going to call it a night. I will write more when I am more coherant!

Muah Haha! I have been able to piece a bit of a rough skeleton edit together and I can say WOW! We have a lot that needs to fit in 6 min but I am confident we can make it fit, and not ruin the story. Mark and I will make a rough cut, and then discuss the FUN that will begin. That will also let us get Chance the copy to score. I am so excited!

Now for a break though. I am taking my wife out on the town! She has been very patient and deserves to get to go wacth a movie instead of watch me make one.

I'm wrapped until ADR. Can't wait to see the end result! Looking forward to the next one! See you at Mikes Studio! :)

Thanks! We are excited for it to be seen!

Our original edit was 8 minutes, and we have almost got it down to 6 minutes. It is turning out nicely. We hope to have a semi final cut soon. Grabs will be up soon from the last weekend of filming so stay tuned!

Look forward to the grabs. Hope you had a good movie night out with the wife. We saw a couple flicks this past week as well.

Post Production Samples #1

Post Production Samples #1

Hey All,

We took some captures of the footage that we shot on Saturday and started messing with them in post. What I typically like to do is start creating master visual shots and then we base all of our post work on these master shots.

These images are rough samples of the direction that we are aiming for as our overall visual look.

We hope you enjoy!

Nice work. Subtle, yet effective. I like the way the blue lights stand out in the bottom still.

looks cool. one thing though, is that a hair in the upper right panel sky?
Nah... it is a sprig of bush )small branch). When we complete this shot, we will paint that out, since it looks a little wierd as is.
