EIGHTEEN SECONDS by Jack, Zac and Mac

Okay, i've seen this a couple of times now to let it sink in.

That was outstanding in every sense of the word guys. The cinematography feels raw and unflinching... I love the hand-held work. The sound-design is very deliberate and effective, and the acting is perfectly subtle and therefore resonates nicely... it allows us to read into it, instead of being told what to think. The lack of dialogue does the same IMO -- that was a plus not a minus.

This whole thing is the exact opposite of "Showy", yet it totally makes you admire every aspect of the short.

I saw the crash coming to, but I have to say that's sort of the point isn't it? That you feel it coming, and the realization sets in right before it happens. I had a moment were I was like "oh hell..." -- and then BAM.

This is one of the best shorts I've seen period. On of Off-line. Which always seems to be the case when mac and zac make a film.

Everyone involved is on my cool list now. Kudos guys.

I'll tell you more myself later Mac. This is crazy good.

I know this guy who is taking a 16mm filmmaking class and is raving about how shi*ty digital is, so I showed him this film. He didn't say much except that he saw the end coming. He's extremely stubborn though, so he's still not sold on HD. I, for one, was blown away by how much it looked like 35mm. To me at least. Not only that, but the direction itself was really good. It comes off as sort of self-consciously art house and pretentious, and the ending is kind of predictable, but the poetry and mood of the piece are executed so beautifully, that it cancels everything else out.

Just watched and Loved it . Theme of this story was good and pulled off nicely by Jack and Amy .

The musice went great with this short ..Nice work Guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Film! Btw, I'm sure someone already mentioned it, but why was it called "18 seconds". First thing I thought was how long it takes for a girl to get off!

What's up with the two chics with the same font sig?
My internet sleuthing tells me they are myspace friends.
My keen powers of deduction tell me they are font buddies.

Sorry. We don't have banners. :crybaby:

LoL. I wasn't referring to the lack of banners. Just hadn't any idea where you two came from.

Were you in a Drama Fest movie?

Welcome, either way. Sorry to hijack the thread, guys.

Are JDS and the other girl famous personalities? Why is everyone talking like they are. Sorry maybe I'm missing something.

Ignorance is bliss....:)
