HERITAGE - Geoff Reisner

Okay....so there's now "1" VFX shot... I made a stupid mistake and composed one of my shots with one of the biggest no-no's in cinematography, I was rushing and didn't pay attention to certain objects that may be spawning out of my characters head in the background! I had to do some digital removal...it had been driving me nuts everytime I saw the shot and I really needed the shot in the film...I was really hoping to have a VFX'less entry. There's always next time...unless of course we have an 'action fest'.

$20 to anyone who can spot the one VFX shot in the film...(It's so darn small, I highly doubt anyone could spot it, but I'm a crazy perfectionist and had to remove it.)

HAHA! That's great, Geoff! You just couldn't resist the dark side! (but I can completely appreciate your perfectionist "flaw.")

I love your new banner.

Good luck!

So now there's two VFX shots...but it was the last one...my journey to the dark side is complete.

hey... almost similar story here.

0 Crew and 0 $$ spent. Good luck.

Thanks! Best of luck to you as well. I must confess though, I did spend approximately $50 on food...$25 at Quiznoes and another $25 on Chinese one day.

(heavy breathing....) You cannot resist the power of the dark side, Geoff... Great fortunes await those who turn their little drama into a spectacle of computer wizardry! Come to the dark side... Release your vision of pure cinematic form!

Post Update

I finished the color correction early this morning and sent a picture cut over to my composer. He said he'd have the score ready by 7PM...I apologized for giving him less than 12 hours to do the music. I then remembered he had to work until 4PM....so really I'm giving him 3 hours to do the music...but he sounded very confident, so I'm excited to see what he comes up with.

I'm working on sound design right now and trying to get my actors over here for some last minute ADR work. I'm not satisfied with the sound recordings for the dialouge scenes. I haven't heard back from them yet, so there's a chance I'll have to stick with what I've got for the fest.

Lol! The force is strong with this fest...

Glad to see you made it in. I can't blame you for at least one effect shot. I don't think there is too many movies out there with at least one. We have a "touched" up ones that still needed some work to be completely honest but I'll sill challenge you also to spot ours... at least the two ones that are obvious.

That's what so great about digital filmmaking...the little things, like being able to remove or add small elements that will make or break a shot.

If I remember correctly, you were adding some DOF in one particular shot, correct? Something about it looking almost like rear projection or something in the park?

your stuff looks great man.
hope everything worked out with adam last night.
you're the man.
