Baal? or Baahl? why not Koffi Abukaka , I got a spam mail from him recently asking to send him my bank account and some other stuff so he can wire me a few million dollars......
 
What if I never want to mention the name of my main character? Is this something that MUST be changed in the script? I just want to know how much has to be compromised. If the name is never mentioned aloud, but written - a signature on a check sorta thing, that's fine right?

Noah...I'm sure that'd be fine. The idea is that the characters name is Eric/Erica, so as long as you show/tell that somehow, should be fine. I'm doing something similar and I'm not too concerned about it.
 
Is a separate section going to be opened up for the Individual Threads to be moved? It was nice that way for HorrorFest and the previous ones, so it wasn't so messy with everything else that gets asked/started during the fest ... though I don't know how hard it is for the Mod's to 'move' the threads that have already started over there.

Assuming if someone did a film where they were called by last names (i.e. military, etc.), I was wondering if the last name 'Erickson' etc. would fit the bill, but looks like it wouldn't. Thankfully, I won't be making a military film. :)

My guess is they will start a new section at some point and move the threads, it's not too difficult to move them.

Based on Barry's comment...it must be Eric or Erica, end of story. If you do a military film, just have one of his buddies call him Eric, then the rest of the time he can be called by his last name. Or show a shot of his induction papers (or whatever they are called) showing his full name.

Good thing you aren't doing a military film :cheesy:
 
Ah. I love this situation. I'm doing a sort of military film. Well Its actually more SWAT style I guess.

By the way, where the bloody hell is everyone. Did people get lives [and/or] go out and start shooting there drama project all of a sudden? Or have I just caught up with all the posts in this forum...

sounds like someone's trying to use a premade project. good excuse though. for internet clarification, im just kidding.
 
For the same reasons, for a 72 hour fest we had to have
CHARACTER: Kelly Blaire sales person,
PROP: use a magnifying glass,
LINE: and include the phrase "It's so crazy it just might work".

We made Kelly a prostitute and a cop called her a sales person like it was slang.

Could be worse with the Eric / Erica thing ... much worse. :)
