Looks like we have the first wireless FF for the HVX...

From Broadcast Engineering ENG Update:

At IBC2006, Chrosziel will unveil the DigiFox digital wireless focus control, a single-channel remote system that controls the Panasonic HVX200 internal focus and start and stop record functions via the camera’s remote jack.

I'm going to hazard a guess that this should also work for the DVX100B as it has the same control ports. I have e-mailed Chrosziel to ask about this.

The old Mag Fox for analog servos was £2900 a few years back.
Seems like it has the same tech specs: 16 bit single channel+ start/stop, 434 Mhz and 16 bands

I'm still counting on some enterprising young "DIY" type to come up with a simple (and cheap) transmitter/receiver setup for my BeBob FOXI.

A guy told me that some of the model airplane (wireless) stuff would do the trick . . . that should be about $200.00

Well I got a little bit more info direct from Chrosziel..

Tennative price of the unit is somewhere around 4100 Euros ($5200 by today's rate). So by no means cheap!

(and here's my obvious intrest in the unit...)
The receiver at 273g (9oz / 0.6lb) is light enough to even fly on the accessory plate on the Steadicam Merlin (even with a radio mic reciver too!).

So lets see...
HVX: $5500
Merlin: $800
DigiFOX: $5200
=
True HD Steadicam with proper Follow Focus: $11500 - and handheld at that!

That would have been hard to even imagine 2 years ago, let alone hope for!

Ok, probably not something that many here will buy at that price, but sure to be a hot rental item.
