Hi Barry. I teach high school video and broadcasting. I am hoping you can answer this question for me. How does the picture of the fz2500 compare to the CX350? I understand you get a lot more with the CX350, but they both have 1" type sensors. If film something with the same settings, lets say MOV, 29.97, and 100Mb/sec, would the image be the same or similar? I work at a high school and we can buy 3 of the Cx350s or 10 FZ2500 for our students. Just trying to make the best decision. I like the CX350 and build on it next year, but all the decision makers see is 3 vs 10 cameras.

Thank you for your time.

Derek
Hey!

It's Jason, we just spoke.

I think I'm going to take it. Can you hold it for me until tomorrow?

Hey man. I can do that. Let me know either way because I have a media partner here in Pittsburgh that may want it as well since I lowered the price drastically
Hello David-
I don’t know if you’re still “the guy” (moderating) but if you are, god bless ‘ya for the hard work citizen!

I’ve always appreciated that the Marketplace is for personal gear only…
while I suppose Brother NorBro considers everything he’s sold here over the last decade is his personal gear but, as he evidently chooses a more relaxed interpretation of the rules i.e., “5 open sales threads.”

Maybe I don’t mind much that going back as far as page 10 he has 12 threads BUT this B.S. of now having a bright yellow square instead of an icon like every other member has (and he did before getting the clever idea to make his threads on the marketplace stand out by replacing it with the yellow square). That, I do mind. IMHO the guy needs to clean up his act, take it to eBay, or become a DVXUSER Sponsor. Bottom line, it’s cheating…and i’ve got no objection to your telling him that I said so.

Thanks my friend.

I'm sorry to have to say this, and I think a private message is better than on the forum, but you really don't have a clue what you're talking about and you really should not offer advice. There are plenty of places where you can have conversations with someone if that's all you want but this is not the place for a casual chat if you are bored or lonely.

And a further point: it is not good manners to mention something other than directly connected with photography. To mention, even briefly, the death of the Queen is not on. I am fro0m the UK, as I suspect you are, and if so, your behaviour and lack of control embarrasses me. If you are not from the UK then there is even less justification for mentioning it.

Please find another forum on which to annoy people.

First of all thank you. I appreciate the time you are taking to participate and hopefully educate. I’ll take you words to heart where i can.

I never mentioned anyone by name or title, so you are assuming something, and i find that offensive. But if i had, i was talking to a news person and world events cause additional work and therefore take time away from replying to forum posts. However you are being inconsiderate and speaking of it in a way to correct a stranger rather than being stoic and leaving it alone.

As for not having a clue about exposure, i have to disagree. I left open a space for other dvxuser members to contribute to the solution. this forum is a collective, and i hope those that want to contribute can. At the same time, since i am more active than most, i wanted to give the OP a quick few helps, just to make sure they knew they were on the right track moving forward. Was it complete information? no. it was partial. Dvxuser is not my occupation, and I am not a video educator. i’ll help as i can.

I write and reply on about 10 different threads here regularly. if that is too much, you have to blame the pace at which other people post. i am sorry. if you start a thread i will respect your emotions and not post on your threads.

Lastly, this is not a private message but a visitor message and is publicly viewable.
If there is a way I can bung you one of those Blackmagics converters without you having to suffer the import tax, such as claiming it as a return or something, happy to do so. I am selling in excellent condition for $120 US, they are $199 new. You'll need to power via 12v, like from a gold or v mount batt, and if so would need a d-tap cable also. Would have to work out shipping but it would be a tiny box. If your local price is notably more than the list price here, might be worth it.

Thanks Charles. Can you shoot me on a photo of the item condition and I’ll have a think on it so.
Hi Lenny, thanks for biting. There's a typo in your last message because you have "e" twice. Could you fix it?

I'll bite: Test 1- EACDE. hard to tell between D&E because they aren't next to each other.
Hey Liam,

I saw your post about the shoot in Brisbane, that's where I am. I might be too late but thought I'd reach out anyway!

Hi Rob, Ah, I didn't realise you were in Brisbane. I would have dropped you a PM!

Yes, sadly too late. The role has been filled, they're actually shooting tomorrow. it was a super-tight budget so you're not missing much, but it was a nice project. Next time!

Thanks Chris,

Apologies to take so long to get back to you, I had a crazy shoot this week in a remote part of Scotland.

Matt stuff looks great.I've sent it through to my producer.

I'll let you know if goes ahead.

Best,

Liam
Hey Brent! We are now interested in advertising on this platform. Who do we talk to about that?
Hello,

I have found this post from you:

Now that we've seen what cameras are on the horizon it looks like we're going to go ahead and purchase the FS7. We were evaluating the DVX200 against it (hoping to save money) but really the FS7 was much better for us.

Is the FS7 better in picture quality then the DVX200? I can buy a second hand FS7 to replace my DVX200. I don't know if that's a smart choice? I made a new topic about that under the "sony" forum FS7 vs DVX200. Can you answer that please?

thx

Hello,
I would like to know if there is a device that can give custom frame guides. I shoot with my Sony a7sIII and nowadays mostly for social media content. However, my camera doesn't have this new frame guides: 1:1, 9:16, 4:5.

I wanted to buy two monitors (12-15 inches) with this feature. However the least expensive is the Atomos Sumo SE which is too much for my needs. I just really need the frame guides for viewing. I have on camera a Smallhd that has those frame guides.

Do you know a device that can give me that feature?

Thanks.
Hello there. In case you dont sell the camera and you lower the price until 2000 dollars, i am interested but i live in Romania. Shipping is 50 dollars and willing to cover.
