Trying to find a spacer in US. Quenox is not available. I bought Optica 72mm-72mm Lens Spacer Adapter. Does not work. It is not deep enough. Anybody knows of another spacer which works with VCL-HG0872? James Duke, jduke@lifestorypictures.com, http://www.lifestorypictures.com.
I'm also looking for the correct spacer. I have the lens, but no way to mount it yet. I also tried the Optica 72 to 72mm, but is not deep enough for the Sony lens.
I have tried a few adaptors and found only one to kinda work. It will let me mount the sony len, but it only grabs by a 1/2 a turn. It does stay in focus when I zoom. I don't trust it to stay with only a 1/2 turn, so I have not used it much. In the receptions I shoot, I could use the extra wide this lens gives.

OK, so I decided to do what I needed to do to get this lens to work. It did not cost a lot, so I decided to modify the lens. The problem, the shoulder before the threads was too deep. So, I sanded it down a little. I could have use a metal file, but I have a 4" belt sander and I knew it would be quicker, so I use a 120 grit type paper to do the sanding. All I needed was a little and I was careful not to get too close to the lens. Now my 72mm - 72mm adapter fits well and will not come off by itself. I have two of the DVX-200 cameras, so I just purchased another Sony lens and will modify it when I receive it. Took less that 5 minutes to sand down and now the lens works perfect.

My adapter ring from ebay.

Here are some photos of my two DVX-200 cameras, all set up and ready.
One has the WA lens mounted, the other does not. I have Sony Wireless mic systems set up on the cameras
The Opteka Video Shoulder support is setup with a quick disconnect, so I can remove it and use the DVX-200 without it and still use my tripods.
