Zoom H4n can be a usb audio interface

[JackBayer]

Hi,

I´ve just started reading the H4n´s manual for the first time (you don´t need it at all to get started) and found something interesting, that I´ve never read anywhere before: It has a special mode to work as a audio interface via usb.

By doing so you can use it to record audio from what ever source you can connect to the H4n directly to your Audio Software Suite.

Just wanted to share that, because it´s great!

Regards!

How about that manual though eh? Pretty pictures - but boy the English translation is bad...

one question i have about the H4N... on all the pictures, the two XLR inputs appear to be some sort of hybrid input that doesn't look like a standard XLR. Is some sort of adapter required or am I missing something?

Exactly - they're hybrids - XLR or standard phone.

but it will still work with a standard xlr without any sort of adapter right?

Exactly
