Zoom H1?

Hey, I seen alot of suggustions to get the Zoom H4n, but what about this new Zoom H1?

I'm thinking about getting it with a Rhode VM for my T2i, anyone tried it?

Nobody has tried it yet because it actually was just released officially today but most stores don't have many in stock. I pre-ordered it about a month ago (the original release date was the 1st of aug). I should have mine in the next 2 or 3 days and i will be happy to post my thoughts on it.

You need to keep in mind that this is now as capable as the h4n, because it lacks XLR and 1/4th jacks and phantom power. It would be a good companion for the Rhode VM because that doesn't require external power and gives you a 1/8th jack. I will be using mine in conjunction with an older beachtek xlr to stereo mini adapter.

Yeah i do have pretty high hopes for it but I hardly ever do a shoot without a 2nd camera (usually a canon HV30) and i can always go back to recording audio on that for the most part if needed.
