Zombiefest DVD finally out!

John Hudson's film was sweet (Lot of action).

I also liked Zombie Island and Peter Murphy's movie.

I'm not even half way through watching them all.

Yeah, no cash, Hudson's is pretty sweet. I love the part when the van pulls up and they hop out and unload there guns. Kicks arse!
I cant wait to get my copy!!

I hear you the beta version I tested had a few typos and then every film was fine except, ironically, for mine which was stretched -- so I too am waiting for several copies to give in payment to my crew etc.

Jarred's so poo pooing tall, you'd think he could just lay across the contenent and hand me the poo pooing things :cheesy:

lol, like Jarred carries them everywhere he goes
like stolen watches hanging inside his trench coat
or all over him like beaver pelts on a Canadian fur trapper -- he he

I MUST crosspost this!!! HOLY POO POO!!! I just saw my BTS on the DVD and it's 4:3 STRETCHED!!! I shot the BTS 4:3 and since it's stretched on the DVD I LOOK REAL FAT! I'M NOT THAT FAT, GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, jdanstan . . . GREAT BTS!!! I loved your lighting tutorial--EXCELLENT! You not only had a GREAT short, but a really, really GREAT cine-esque look! Exceptional BTS . . . I learned a lot from it!!!

Anyway, aside from me looking super fat, Jarred did a great job on the DVDs 'cause I know that must of been a TON of work to get that together . . . I can't believe the value! All those DVDs for only $20! Really appreciate all the labor of love that went into the contest and the DVD (not to mention the coolest T-shirt ever). THANKS JARRED!

ha ha.. i told everyone somewhere that if you gave me 4:3 **** it would get stretched.. 4:3 was a no-no.

But it was good stuff NBCShooter... all the BTS stuff was way way better than i thought it would be.

Good work everyone!

P.S.. If you wanna send me a 16:9 version do it soon.. as soon as 50 more 4 pack DVD's sell im repackaging them into a single dual layer disk, top 20 films I think with extras.. the 4 disc set is just way to much work.

Anyway, thanks for that last minute edit on the girlfriend-eating-potato-chips-shot on the BTS! I'm really glad the BTS made it (although I look REAL fat). I still don't know what was wrong with the the first two shots after the car stuff (the glove sequence)--weird. Looks interlaced or something. Damn Premiere Pro.

If I still have time to send it, I'm going to column-box (or whatever you call it) the 4:3 BTS footage and send it to you ASAP! Thanks again for all your hard work! I was soooooooo stoked to make the box cover!!!

No way, YOURS looks great. I learned quite a bit from your BTS. That whole "-12 pedastal" thing was a revelation to me! Plus that Home Depot-light-on-a-real-lightstand trick--AWESOME! I've got to figure that one out. It looks like you used a photostrobe lightstand adapter somehow. How exactly did the Home Depot light fit in the adapter?

Anyway, be careful, those battery flourescents go REAL green-blue. The daylight-ish Ott-Light desk lamps balance at about 4300K (I think) and white balance EXCELLENT. Those are what I used to light all my interiors. I also found some "daylight" flourescent bulbs at a "Do-It Center" in Burbank, but I'm not sure if they're a national chain or not since that's the only one I know of. So far, I haven't found any brand (most are Chinese knock-offs) of battery powered flourescents with a decent spectrum. The cheaper lights always go very green.

Well thank disjecta. in his FAQ he mentions that he bumps it down to -5. I got most of my camera settings from his FAQ. I just pushed his settings for the look I wanted.

visit this link and you can see that you just jam the little brass screw adaptor that comes with the multimount into the screw hole of the work light.

Thanks for the heads up on the diff bulbs for the fluorescents
