Were they shipped yet? Just wondering not bitching.

Were they shipped?! Were they shipped?!

Haaaaa-haaaaa Bitches... I'm watching mine on the other monitor RIGHT NOW! Yeeeee-haaaaawwww!:cheesy:

Oops... I'm sorry if that came out wrong. I was simply trying to rub in the fact that I got my 4-Disc dose of zombie-rific goodness today.

I watched a few of them today and they look great on TV. I think I would have rated some of them higher if it werent for the ugly compression. I was surprised to see alot of noise during the TV scene on texas fortune. I think the best behind the scenes was jdanstan's. Most informative and interesting.
Some of them look really well shot and the web versions dont do them justice.

Ha thanks dude.

there are a lot of good ones though.

I liked Infection's BTS -- want that on camera light he has.
And I liked Scriptures BTS -- they are just a talented bunch of folks
And ofcourse it was cool to see disjecta up close and personal

My thoughts exactly. I was surprised at how good most of the films looked (and sounded) on DVD because I was sort of expecting to see a lot more flaws exposed in the bigger format. It reminds me of just how poor an experience it is watching films on the web.

yeah and you can compare the main ways of getting real 16X9 out of the DVX for final resolution too.

Anamorphic Adpator
Blow up in NLE (comparable to squeeze and letter box)
Uprezz in Photo Zoom pro

I only have a 4:3 20" though so I need to go loiter in the Cinema Room at best Buy and see if they will let me compare.

I actually did take my test copy to Target to try it there but they had one DVD player running to all of the TV's and I was too embarassed to put it on

and plus there were little kids all around, lol

Be sure to watch some entries with people who have no clue about video production. My mom stopped by today and she hasn't seen any of this stuff... not even any of my own flick. I was pissing my pants laughing at how scared and grossed out she was. The visit ended with me getting a lecture on what's wrong with kids today and "that's why people don't feel any sympathy anymore".

She was litterally SCREAMING and throwing her hands in her face with the same intensity as somebody who was just sprayed with mace. Hmm... the SFX were even better then I thought.

Apparently the neck-slashes and rotting arms are just too much for some people. Vicariously watching through my mother really made me appreciate the good job you guys did with the scoring too. When you see someone get totally FREAKED OUT on the same thing you've watched a hundred times you really notice the musical crescendos and acting that sell the scene.

hey Jack i just got in CA. just watched yours man that was great, the finger. the pain he was going thru looking at the old photos, well done! Disjecta, what great scenary shots. and getting the whole family on the project, that's kool! now i'm forgetting the first one, but the actors were great in it. Hudson's action was the best. i couldn't play it on the TV, so the sounds on the computer were ok but if i can figure out the TV? i'm still watching the rest.

hey thanks!

yes there are cool stuff in all of them -- I think I am gunning for Hudson this time for Sci Fi in terms of action   -- not sure yet, still toying with ideas, but I'm sort of like -- Ok I need some action like Hudson, some camera movement like NBCshooter, more attention to my opening credits like Texas Fortune, character work like Last Supper, a dash of Paprika, a little lemon ... etc.

But there are several films like that kind of set a standard

EDIT: you can't get it to play on the DVD hooked to your TV? What do you mean -- not at all? Or in wrong aspect ratio? do oyu have a really old DVD player? (I can't help but imagine you right now in that trailer from Last Supper, lol)

I'm really looking forward to watching these the way they were meant to be seen (in my living room with a big-ass beer).

got it last night! Watched the top three on my computer. My XBox won't play the DVD's :( They all look and sound excellent. Great behind the scenes stuff.

I linked the order page from my website and was playing with the flash and noticed that the total with shipping and handling was $23.94, lol. :)

Jarred, next time tack on an extra 4 cents so our 24fps DVD costs $23.98.

That would be a great in joke for a DVD featuring THE 24pa camera! haha
