I hope you will enjoy this different comparison movie :cheesy:

I liked it, thanks. Based on the footage, my conclusion is that optically, the pancake and old glass are very close to the CP.2's, until very high contrast conditions are encountered, at which point the old glass gets creamed (likely due to old, or absent coatings).

Glad you liked it :)

One thing I noticed while doing this test is that all the CP.2's breath, though allot less but they do.
You can see it in the fade from wide open to 5,6 how much or little the image change focally.

Yep, I noticed it too, and that it was far less pronounced... but then again Zeiss says that even their best lenses, the Master Primes, have "Virtually no breathing". Well, virtually isn't the same thing as no/none, so...

Haha, I have virtually the best af101 there is.. does not say much :P

In the stop to stop race with the lumix, the CP.2 shined :)

I shot some tests comparing my classic Zeiss primes which are probably 45 years old against new Olympus photo glass 35-100. I had to shoot stills with each lens on my gf 1 because even the old Zeiss glass resolved more than the Af could see so the only way to see the upper limits of resolution was to shoot stills of charts. Contrast and colorimetry is pretty easy to easy to pick out by eye.
