Zeiss ZF Rear Lens cap won't come off

Ok I've had no problem with getting the rear lens cap off my brand new ZF 85mm
Tele Planar and ready to put adapter that just came. But I pulled out the brand new 50mm planar out of the new sealed Zeiss box and can't for the life of me get the back len cap off. I tryed opening and closing the apature with focus all the way back and vice-versa , then lining everything up center ?

Please some one enlighten me, I'm feelin really whimpy........
