C300: Zeiss CP.2 Mount Swap from PL to EF

Anyone ever do this before? I'm thinking about changing my PL mount to an EF on my Zeiss 85mm CP.2. It's not an inexpensive operation. The mount is $390. and the torch wrench is $175 for a grand total of $565.

I could just buy the Rokinin 85mm for $350 and be done but thats another story.

Any advice on this DIY project would be great.

What's that torx wrench made of- gold? you can buy WIHA for under $10.
Zeiss ought to be crucified on internet forum for their CP gouging. They are exploiting the newbie incompetence to no end. Few years ago before the DSLR boom they would not get away with this. Now with all the kids and their parents financing their "career" it's a gold rush for zeiss.

I hear ya! That torque wrench torqued me!

The Wiha 28550 Adjustable Torque handle only cost $90. on ebay.

Eric you don't need a torque handle just a wrench. If one has got to use a torque handle one probably shouldn't try....
