Zeiss Compact Primes and SLR Lenses

[Nitsuj]

Anybody heard of price points for the Zeiss compact primes? How about the SLR lenses they have? Any thoughts on that subject as well? I'm looking for some reviews or examples if there are any too.

I think the Compact Primes go for around 40 grand for a set. Googled and couldn't find anything to back that up, but that's what I remember.

They're based on the SLR "ZF" glass, but properly rehoused with proper PL mounts and proper focus mechanisms.

So that works out to about $6,000 per lens. That's about half the cost of Ultra Primes, but obviously about 6x as much as the ZF SLR lenses cost.

The Germans make expensive stuff.

It's about $5K per lens for a set according to quotes from bandpro.
They're rather nice but the wides are slow and max wide open t-stops are inconsistent.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't find much either. You guys found more than I could.
