Zeiss 50 1.4 or Canon 50 1.2

Work in live events and trying to decide which lens to grab.
Low light is always needed so 1.2 is nice. Love the focus ring on the zeiss.

Thoughts?

I love my Zeiss 50 mm 1.4 with my 7D. I shoot at night with it all the time.

I just shot interviews with the Zeiss and loved the color but it was controlled.
Most of my shooting is live.

Do you shoot stills too? AF is very good for stills.

I use the Zeiss and love it, great lens. I would worry shooting live with the 1.2 as it is hard enough with the 1.4 wide open trying to focus. The Zeiss is also smaller and lighter.

Thinking the same on the 1.2 and honestly it's a minor bump for low light

It's a 50% bump for low-light, but I agree with the other. I LOVE our Contax 50 1.4 on the GH2 and 5d.

I've used the Canon 1.2 a little and it's an incredible lens. They used it a lot on the "House" episode in the "collapsed building" set with the 5D. However, for live events, it might be very difficult to focus it at f1.2. If it's fairly dark though, you might be cursing yourself for not having the extra light available.
