Hey gang, I must be missing something easy here....I have my zebra 1 at 80 and zebra 2 at 100, but when I turn zebras on it appears I only get the 100. How do I select between the two zebra settings? Thanks!
Hi, from memory as im at work, goto the display menu and scroll down to zebra 2. Iirc its factory set to spot which for me makes it a little hard to see. Change it to all and you should see two distinct zebra's when closing the iris.
If you are outside in bright daylight your 100 zebras will obliterate the 80s, so that may be why you can't differentiate.
Why is your first set at 80 IRE? I find Caucasians' skin are best set at 70IRE to avoid over exposure. I'm curious as to why you have 80? What are others setting it at?
I know others don't agree but I follow the BBC setting of 65 and 85 for filmic work, I have checked them against auto settings and on HD/SDI monitors and they seem OK to me for 25fps PAL
That's a hard on as it totally depends on the scene I am shooting but I suppose I have just got used to them, if I see the zebras on a highlight I open up to let it total cover the highlight and then back the exposure back so that it is just there on the hot spots.
Really hard to describe but it is what I have always used since I got the camera so will be interested to know how you guys set the zebras, for video shooting they are set at 75/100
I don't have the 300 just the 150 but I use 70/105. When shooting caucasions the 70 should just trigger on face hot spots then make sure nothing is triggering the105 in the scene. I would like to know more about the 65/85 as i feel it would be too underexposed?
