Zacuto Z Finder Replica $200

How can it be useful to magnify a screen that doesn't show focus without digital magnification? I don't get this.

Its the same concept as the z-finder. It just allows you to see the screen a bit more clearly. Especially for people who need glasses or contacts, etc. It's the same concept as using the lcd as a viewfinder. It is very very very helpful in focusing and this particular one looks to be an excellent copy of the zfinder. But have you looked at the LCDVF? It's gotten quite good reviews from lots of people and i think it falls in the under $200 range.

The LCDVF as well as the KAPA knock off selling for half price work fine as LCD viewfinders, but they don't have diopter correction. This is an important issue for people wearing spectacles that aren't able to focus very close.

I have the LCDVF knockoff and need glasses but solved it by purchasing some reading glasses at the dollar store, cutting it to the right diameter and putting it in the eyecup. 1$ solution to the diapter issue and took me all of 10 minutes. Just for information if people haven't heard of this.

Just my opinion but I've owned my Z-finder 2.5 for months now and I think it was worth saving up and just paying for the real thing. It is built like a tank, very good quality, and great base plate it comes with along with the neck strap that disconnects.

If you're gonna save up half might as well just wait a little longer and get the real deal. It's worth it in my opinion, but hey I respect if you want to save money.

Also the 3x is too much (at least for me) It was so zoomed in that you could see the lcd pixels. I bought the 3x and returned it for the 2.5x. Much better choice.

Personally, I think I am going to go for the Letus Hawk carbon fiber. I will atleast try it for the 10 day trial period. We use the z-finder pro 2.5x at work and I think they are awesome except I noticed that plastic housing scratches easy and looking inside the VF the finishing was a little messy.
Who knows if the Letus hawk will be any better, but I am interested to see if the glass is better inside since they make their own and they claim to not have any distortion near the edges. Also, I feel like I am getting more for my money with the carbon fiber and aluminum. If I don't like it I plan on sending it back and getting a z finder.

So this is this used with original live images or by magnifying 10x? The best probably would be to use a monitor, but it's expensive.
