Are any of you experienced with the Zacuto new Z-Drive and the grip relocator?

I am planning buying it next monday, for
I have a couple of days work to do next week, that require shoulder rigging.

Is the place of the shoulder pad good, or would it be better to buy the rod-version, that's more on the backend of the rods?
Any of you experienced on how stable and nice the hold and feel is with the grip relocator and Zgrip?
I hear people saying that with the longer grips they have less stability.

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

I've ordered an Axis and was also considering the z-drive/tornado mix. I am just afraid changing lense will be a big pain in the ass. Especially if you are a one-man team.
But I am really looking forward to the Axis. This looks like a solid tool.

I think you have to slide it off to the front end to change lenses, that's not really a big deal because with my vocas FF I have to loosen a screw every time when changing lenses, so that the gear ring comes down, then i have to reposition it and tighten the screw again.

think so?
after all these years and rigs, FF and matte boxes I found myself breaking down everything to the core. all these tools often make a shot acutally a lot more difficult. When I config my system now I try to be as small and compact as possible and I use Zeiss lenses so I can skip on the FF. Works pretty neat. Zeiss are just way better to focus... like budddaaahhh.

Agree! One more thing, when I am taking footage outdoor I am always using Varibal ND filters and I never put my left hand off it. I do not see how aperture adjustment useful? I always what my aperture to be constant, that is my way to control after the DOF.
