Thinking it might be time to retire our Indisystem gear and move on to a new kit.

Right now we are considering:

Berkey System Baseplate + 24" Rods
http://www.berkeysystem.com/store/camera-base-assemblies/sony-f3-panasonic-af-baseplate-assembly/ / http://www.berkeysystem.com/store/15-mm-series/standard-15mm-rods/

R
edrock microMatteBox Deluxe Bundle
http://store.redrockmicro.com/Catalog/microMatteBox-for-15mm-Lightweight/microMatteBox-Deluxe-Bundle

THEN, EITHER

Redrock microFollowFocus v2 Indie Bundle
http://store.redrockmicro.com/Catalog/microFollowFocusBundles15mm/microFollowFocusv2IndieBundle

OR

Zacuto Z-Focus with Zip Gears
http://store.zacuto.com/z-focus.html

Please let me know your input/experiences!

Andrew

I pre-ordered the Letus Follow Focus. It seems to blow the competition away at a very good price point, but I won't know for sure until they ship.

P.S. I would never buy RedRock. I hate every peice of equipment of theirs that I've used, especially their cheap follow focus. IMHO

I have a Zacuto rig that I used for my HVX200 and now I use for my AF100 and Sony F3. Great stuff, well built. Worth the extra cash IMO.

I would definitely suggest feeling out the new Redrock Follow Focus Blue. It's been getting great feedback and I've personally used it and love it.

Hmmmm. Looks like a virtual clone of the ARRI MFF-1 - but at a much lower price.

Any early reviews out there on this?

I was just about to pull the trigger on the ARRI FF and OConnor O-BOX WM...but I may have to reconsider the FF now.

Steve there are several reviews out there, one here on DVXUser that I'm aware of - unfortunately typing on a small screen so I can't search for it at the moment. Has some features even the ff1 doesn't have (illuminated marking disk, ability to go double-sided) and yes at a much lower price. If you drop me a PM I can forward you links to reviews.

Congratulations on releasing a new follow focus Brian. Something I read on the Redrock website in regards to this new follow focus- "The only follow focus that allows you to add a second wheel on the opposite side which speeds up repositioning. You can switch between single- our double-sided setups, or add the second wheel option at any time."

I'm not exactly following exactly what you mean. Can you please expand upon this innovation?

Thanks,

We just got Redrock's V3 follow focus in a few days ago and it's a VAST improvement over the V2. Entirely worth the $850.

Yep, you're right. We ordered directly from Redrock and it came to $805.04. We order so many items; my memory was off.
