Zacuto Gorrilla kits

Great points Steve, i was very impressed with the new Z finder & the DSLR rigs at Cine Gear .
Steve, give us a handle , something to carry it with and shoot low to the ground pov style.
And like you, i hate the cage idea, way too restricting. How about some feet or legs as well , if i want to put the rig down we have to lean it on it's side.
Isn't there a way we can put it down and also use it on the ground for low "hitchcock" angles with small legs that adjust and then retract , then use them for stabilization on hard surface as well. I hope i'm explaining it well enough, If anybody can do it ...it is Zacuto! Cheers

All very valid points Steve. I don't think it was me who spoke about the perpendicular aspect though. Definitely bears reflection. My feeling is that whatever solution has to happen has to be very strong and rock solid, and intuitively the Redrock feels that way to me. An israeli arm solution just doesn't seem as ergonomic to be honest. I know also their plan is that the device is universal as well, not just for the Hoodman. Whether that could work with the new Z v2 is anybody's guess. I know too that if I am in a hybrid situation I can just take photos with the Z-finder on camera using Liveview. In terms of being able to take off the baseplate quickly for access to the eyepiece, why not have some sort of quick release solution then? In any case thanks for your responsiveness.

Zacuto really needs to start demonstrating these rigs without two people fighting over the levers and rods... It really makes it look more cumbersome and difficult to manage than I hope in real life when you are shooting solo?

Also, please show how a solo shooter can manage this rig and change lenses by himself while running n' gunning.

I agree completely.. Its like they grabbed their spare parts boxes and went to tinker toy town .....slapped a gunstock on it ...threw back back a couple martinis came up with some slick gun names and now are laughing all the way to the bank!! Kudos on the loupe though...
