C100: Z- finder bracket

I wish the product page showed how it actually looks mounted to the camera, though I found that here on a different rig: http://store.zacuto.com/c100-z-finder-recoil/

I think I'm going to have to pick one up myself. Have you gotten yours in yet?

Now that's funny. What species of animal is this rig designed for? Certainly not a human being. Or maybe this is so you can be squished up behind a guy who's holding the rig on his shoulder in front of you? Of course the person in front would have to be a foot shorter too. lol.

Yeah...that ain't going on your shoulder. I like your idea of mounting it on a short AC's left shoulder. You know where I can get one of those cheap? One that won't get creeped out by me standing that close and literally breathing down their neck?
But seriously, the similar LCDVF BM that I use works fairly well for handheld and tripod shots, but impossible to balance on a shoulder rig. The key to making it work handheld is to keep the camera light, as in no five pound plate on the bottom of it.

Somehow in my morning grogginess I missed the fact that the whole rig is supposed to be a shoulder mount design. I don't know why they bothered with this, the c-shooter is an amazing rig already. Not to mention it actually works in practice

Hi guys, Steve here.
So let me explain how this works. We are going to be releasing a video Jens and I did with Rodney Charters where we took 6 components of our new Next Gen Recoil kit and put it on 11 different cameras rigging them up to be perfectly balanced--the C100 included. I've included a clip from that video at the end of this post. There is two ways to use this camera. As a tripod rig with the one part of the top bracket which essentially replaces the bands and makes the Z-finder move beautifully. Then there is another part you can add to it http://store.zacuto.com/axis-mount-for-c100/ that gives you our rod lock to attach our Axis Mini and then an EVF, now you have a very compact recoil shoulder rig. Usually our recoil handle is essential to make the recoil work because the EVF attaches to it. but with this camera the handle is so essential to the operation of the camera with the audio being in it that we tried to find a way to make it work with it's own handle. It really is an elegant solution. Check out the video: https://vimeo.com/114682400 I really like this camera. Always have.

Is there any way to make this bracket fit with a Wooden Camera cheeseplate mounted? Looks rather precise so it doesn't look like it would.
