Your thoughts and prayers please.

UPDATE:

When the nurse took out his IV and unwrapped the tape from his hand, he looked at his fingers as he flexed them, as if to say, "Hey cool, my right hand back".

My son is home.

I would have thought he was practicing his hook to hit the nurse. Haha.

Amazing news.

He's a fighter, really happy for you. Now go have a wee celebrations.

I'm so sorry.. I can't imagine how you must feel in a situation like that.

I hope that everything works out and your son, you, and your wife will be ok.

.

That's very Luke Skywalkeresque. The kid may have a future as a Jedi.

May the force be with you guys.

I'm so glad to hear your son is okay.

One of my favorite quotes is from Hemingway, "When you have a child, the world has a hostage."

Great to hear! all this will soon be forgotten and you'll start enjoying 100% again !

Matt, my thoughts and prayers with you, please keep us updated on situation and let us know when ALL OF YOU are well and feeling fine.

It's funny, because when my kids spent their times in the hospital, I vowed to never forget. Not because I want to dwell on it, but because I want to keep a piece of that pain in my pocket to give me perspective. When compared to that feeling, nearly all of life's "problems" pale by comparison. That is something I never want to forget.

Yes, hospital "visits" make you grow in ways you couldn't dream of.

Glad to hear he is doing fine. Hope you feel safe again too.

UPDATE:

The boy is HOME!!!!! He is still breathing with a rasp, and is still puking a little (all the gunk he is coughing up), but he is home.

He sounds much better though. When I saw the bruise from the tiny IV in his hand, I almost started sobbing. When the nurse took out his IV and unwrapped the tape from his hand, he looked at his fingers as he flexed them, as if to say, "Hey cool, my right hand back".

My brother Bubby visited him, and Aiden showed him one of his new books, going page by page, with his only working hand at the time. He really is something.

I am very much relieved, but, am now checking on him even more than usual, which is something.

My son is home.

really glad to hear that. best wishes for a speedy recovery.
