Hmm, Kegan and Luis had me thinking it was maybe a PC /Mac thing but I tried it and I'm definitely getting two different versions in Safari (on a Mac).

Huge difference. I want to find out more about this...If this is the future for Youtube, then I may start using it

Jared, where did u get widescreen youtube videos???

I actually had some videos on my site- nothing major just little projects I put together anyway after I tried this out I switched over to Youtube...

It's a letterboxed trailer. I just cropped them that way when I took screengrabs.

The Once Trailer is really special though. If I play it full screen, it is REALLY fullscreen. Not limited to the black box. It nearly fills out my 1280*800 screen. I haven't managed to get one of my videos to behave like this. Does somebody know how they did that?

But man, does my eye look sharp now, even on youtube:

Small viewer:

The left picture obsiously is overall sharper and has more skin detail. The Right picture is a bit soft, look especially at the black bars!

Fullscreen:

Same thing in fullscreen. Look for the small hair on the cheek in the upper picture.

Had a PC friend test it out and seems the audio is also in stereo- that's cool.

Thanks for that John, been using it on my SD links too.
