SHORT: Yo Soy Un Hombre Loco (I Am a Crazy Man)

A short film that I helped make last year that was shot in less than 3 days, probably 20 hrs total across those days, for about less than $300.

This was shot on a Panasonic HVX, 720p 24f. It took a while to edit because our buddy that came out from LA (he's the director) had me edit it, and we kept sharing the rough cuts back and forth online. Finally, on a recent trip to LA for work, we finished the final edit in about 4 hrs. You can view it below, but this is our internet version, as we are having original music scored so we can put it in festivals later down the line. For now, we just wanted to have it out and see what people thought of it. By all means, say whatever you'd like. The board has always been a great resource for me, and I really appreciate the honest and thorough advice and critiques.

If your viewing it from outside the U.S., it's blocked because of the copy written music, so view it here on Vimeo:

Either way, thank you all for taking the time to watch! I appreciate it. :)

I really enjoyed this, great shooting, great action shots, beautifully choreographed scenes. I have not seen action like this ever outside of a big budget film, i am very impressed.

The story is reasonably well told without much dialogue, and seems to have a strong visual style.

The one issue i had was i thought the Hombre loco, could have been a stronger character if he would have used a different type of dance, say more of a latin dance. As it stands it seems like he was merely copying, but i think it would have been stronger story wise to have him dance as well to get into his craft, but a different dance.

Just my two cents, still runs very well.

This was great! I'm so jealous. The fight scene were simply incredible and I really liked the story. I'm an action guy, so I can imagine the choreography involved here. Everything was on point and very, very professional. The sound effects were even nice!

Excellent fight scenes. I thought the affectation didn't need to be so broad to get the point across but it's definitely well done.
