Yellowstone

I don't know what it is, but I have never been able to view any of your stuff... and I SO want to... Any and ALL footage from the XLH1 I want to see! :(

Wow

Totally breathtaking. Simply stunning work.

It was like watching the beginning of Open Range or something ....

Awesome

Man, that looks amazing. Did you do any CC at all? How long did it take tou to shoot the entire piece? The reason I ask is because there's a lot of shots that were taken durring that magic hour. The more H1 footage I see the more it makes me want to get a Canon. It has such a warm and organic feel to it, with an extensive palette of colors and textures. You are a painter and the H1 is your brush, Disjecta.

I just read you used the H1's stock lens. To be honest I was going to ask if you used your letus, because there's a couple of longer shots that apear to have a type of diffusion that is very comon on the letus and other 35mm adapters (the eagle shot, for example).

Thank you everyone for the nice comments.

Rawfa, I forgot that I used the Canon 1.6 extender for that eagle shot so there was a little softening. I did some color correcting but only in terms of levels and making adjacent shots more cohesive. Most of what you are seeing is very close to the original captured footage.

The piece took about a week to shoot and my primary concentration was sunrise and sunset.

That was beautiful stuff. I am a loser. Thats it! I am getting up before daybreak next Saturday and shooting.

Looks great man - Haven't seen you for a while! Yellowstone really is a spectacular place. If you're ever in the area again think about popping up to Montana for a bit and we'll go for drinks or something. :)
