This is probably a bad thread to start here on this forum, but, I can't help myself. The Schoeps CMC641 is SOOO good. Plugged into an XLR and into my Sound Devices 702, it is like a dream. Even from distance, it sounds really good. I have some compression on these tracks, but maybe next time I should just add gain, and keep all the dynamic range possible. If you are wondering why I am gushing, here is some footage.

(Voice only captured from about 2-3 ft out of frame (a little to far really) but it still sounds great)

I was recently in my sons bedroom reading him stories, and the reflections were non-existent, and I had the mic pinned up against the roof-line wall, the wall behind us, and the wall to my right, and it still didn't pick up any reflections (well, minimal-minimal-minimal reflections) compared to the AKG CK93 it is a dream. I highly recommend the mic when you are looking at professional grade equipment. It will make your stuff sound 'better'.
