C100: XLR without Handle

camera + top handle + shot gun on top of top handle, its just too front heavy and big, I always hit something while moving

anyone have the solution ? shotgun xlr directly to the modular jack of the top handle (beside the 3.5mm input)

I remove the handle and use rode mic pro when shooting run and gun events. I like to be as low profile as possible. Only use the handle and ntg3 mic when it is a lock down static shoot such as interview.

Resurrecting an old thread here but has anyone ever seen some kind of modified top handle or xlr break out box for a c100? Trying my hardest to eliminate the top handle but retaining the 48v is a must. Solutions?

I'm surprised no one made a cable for the C100 and it's audio input with a breakout box that can be mounted to a cage or rig.

^ what I want! :)

figured i I would ask here before modifying my own. If all of the circuitry resides in the front part of the handle it should be a pretty straightforward and clean mod. A little box attached to a wooden camera top mount and handle would be ideal!

Maybe you could buy C300 monitor unit. If new would be to expensive find damaged one with broken screen. Should be quite easy to detach that screen and just plug that box. I am not sure about compatibility though.
