XLR for iPad

just wait for the "how do I mount a Vid Mic Pro to my Ipad while mounting on top of my DSLR?"....

siliness in 3...2...1...

Actually I think most of the DSLR brigade can now not bother with those expensive stills camera's and just do it all with the i-pad or i-phone, well it's got an HD camera hasn't it and you can now record the sound too.

It will also cut out any upload time as you can edit with it too and then upload your results direct to vimeo or Yoo Toob.

Problems solved and maybe someone can start up a new forum for all the "why doesn't my i-pad/i-fone look like a RED or Alexa" and leave us all in peace! ;0)

If that new Rode gadget is anything like my NT-4, it seems top-heavy and may have more weight/mass than the iThing it is attached to. I worry about the 30-pin connector. OTOH, the new Lightning connector has no analog pins anymore (audio or video) and not the same control pins, so unclear whether you can do this with the new iThings.

However, the glimpse of the application in the video shows a MUCH more professional and usable user interface than any of the other iThing audio recording apps I've seen. The others look like they were designed by people who design silly games or vapid "social media" junk. And have no working understanding of recording audio.
