C100: XLR Beeping Sound ??

Hey All

Curious if anyones run into this problem

I was recording interview today using a Sony Lav kit. Half-way through the day, I got a very quiet, consistent beep. It sounds exactly like a GoPro, beeping once every second or so.

Tried to eliminate the problem by changing settings, eventually switched out with a Sennheiser G3 set. Didn't hear any beeping, until I hit record. Then I would hear the same quiet GoPro sounding beeps -> 2 or 3 quick ones when I hit record, then once every second or so while recording, then it stopped as soon as I stopped recording (again with the 2-3 quick beeps when I hit record to stop)

Any ideas? Used the same two lav kits on a different C100 5 mins later with no issues....

Thanks!

Not quite the same situation, but about a week ago I started experiencing a barely-audible electronic "whine" while recording audio to XLR 1 while out on location. Powering the unit off an on and using a different MIC didn't help, but swapping out the XLR cable with a different one seemed to solve the problem.

Quick update (in case anyone runs into this issue)

I had a similar interferance sound / "whine" because of 1 of my XLR cables... but definitely no beeping sound because of it.
Turns out after much testing, I believe it was a combination of the XLR cable, and oddly enough, the type of SD card I was using!

I've had Duracell 200X SDHC 16GB Cards for a few years and never had an issue. They format fast, and have been reliable. After all my testing, I finally figured out tonight - I only get beeping when using the Duracell cards.
I tried 8 different Kingston SDHC and SDXC cards with the wonky XLR cable, and no beeping at all.

In case anyone runs into a similar problem -> the card you are using may be the issue as well!
