I'm a bit confused. Not the first time for that though...
Is there a story here? Or is this just vacation footage edited together?

Oh i can see it now, looks real nice and the color is fantastic. I have a question how did you do that fast pull back from the chick in the water. its around the first 1/3'ed of the vid after the snorkel and fins are droped.

No color correction. I usually do but in this case had no time. RGB boosts in camera. 30p for a bit more commercial clarity although I love 24p.
The snap back with the girl in the water was just that. A quick flick of barrel on the 16X manual lens set to manual ( the zoom can be snapped back and forth very quickly. I usually hate zooms but in this case it was so brief and I thought a bit more interesting than a jump cut.
I do have a full resolution version but I am now on the BigIsland to begin production and have no way to post right now. Sorry
To the guy who didn't get it, it's going to be TOURS of the four major islands on DVD with your fun loving host, SUMMER!
BigIsland 2go will be shot on the XL2 and if you'd like a list of all equip, here you go:
On the XL2: Petroff 2 stage mattebox with 4X4 Polarizer, side and top flags for light spill ( theres lots of sun out here, control of it is crucial to image clarity)
FIRESTORE Fs4 pro 80gig Portable Hard drive for image capture ( we will be shooting TONS of footage, logging and captuing would be a nightmare come true, the firestore will help ease the pain.
The factory viewfinder has been junked, that thing is a joke, BAD CANON!. It has been replaced with a Glidecam 7" Pro monitor with 12v canon battery adapter. By the way everything will be powered by the 945 series batteries. ( easier to keep track of whats chaged and not). Support for the monitor had been provided by a mini ISRAELLI arm. I love this thing, it allows you to position the monitor in many various positions. Very cool product, mine is connected via the hotshoe.
Wireless audio provided by Sennheiser. It's not the best, but gets the job done.
Sanken CS-3e ( this thing is awesome, VERY DIRECTIONAL!! I love it, planes overhead? not a problem with this mic a little mixing in the MIX PRE field mixer and the plane is nonexistant.
Lighting= 2 LITEPANEL L.E.D superportable nice light ( within 5 FEET ) Very clean white light. Perfect for the on the go filmmaker. Very versitle, a million uses.

Ben - You can do the same snap zoom with the DVX. Under the lens there is a switch labeled servo/manu. Flip it to manual and then just spin the zoom control with your hand instead of the buttons.Ben Simpson said:I cant see it
