Xl1-xl2 aus$1700?

[rhysie21]

I am looking for a Canon XL1 or XL2 (or of the same quality) for AUS$1700, is it possible to get it anywhere near this cheap, or am I dreaming? Where could I get it?

Your dreaming. I recently sold a sony vx2000 for $1900. For an xl1 you'd be looking at least 2500.

Maybe three years ago. XL2 prices have plummeted. You can get them for close to 2k easily, although $1700 AUS is a bit low. Just start a thread in the marketplace.

they are still around 4500 new here. and remember one of your dollars equals 65c over here, not to mention all the import taxes we pay on electronic goods.
