Is the workflow with the xha1 as cumberson as with the hv20 with all the pulldown remove problems. I'd like to start shooting hd but dont want to jump thru all the hoops

There is no pulldown when shooting HD with the XHA1. It records 24 frames to tape. As long as your editor supports it, and most of the new ones do, it's pretty simple.

'SIMPLE IS GOOD' I really enjoy doing the editing portion of this hobby but all the conversions with some cameras left me out in never never land. thx

For all you guys using the XH-A1, obviously I'm trying to get the film look as much as possible. Just started using the camera, shooting in HDV 24 frame mode, also gonna get the SGpro adapter... But trying to figure out what shutter speed to use, I kinda like the 1/48 vs the 1/60-- but I really don't know how much difference it will make...
I used to shoot with an XL1s and always shot 1/30 on the shutter in regular video mode instead of the frame mode. I thought it looked more like film, i dunno.... maybe.
Just want to know if anyone out there knows more info reguarding this? I do know higher shutter speed less blur effect, but 35mm film almost has that slight blur and fullness to it, don't you think?
Your thought and opinions are apperciated.... thx John

24p @ 1/48 = 180-degree shutter angle, which I think generates what is typically associated with "film-like" motionblur.
