XHA1, Rode shotgun mic and Letus Elite

Hey guys, got a bit of a problem that I'm sure someone else has encountered and knows a way around it.

I use an XHA1 with a Letus Elite and a field monitor attached to the hotshoe on the camera. Now, my problem is that having the monitor attached to the hotshoe requires me to attach the rode shotgun mic to the mic holder that comes off of the handle, and because the letus adapter causes a slight vibration due to the vibrating ground glass, the sort of "vvvvvvvv" sound it makes going through the cameras body is then transferred to the mic. does that make sense? you can't hear the vibrating adapter just with your ear, but when the mic is clamped down to the camera, it picks up the vibration through the body of the camera to the body of the mic.

how can I get around this? I need to use my monitor, and I'm pretty sure I can only attach it to the hotshoe, which then doesn't allow me to attach the mic to the hotshoe.

does the stock mic pick up that sound? unfortunately ur Rhode mic is very good and picks up the letus motor when in use. your best bet is to put the rhode mic on a boom with a long xlr mic cable and have a 2nd person hold it 5 feet away. your going to need a second hand on this setup unfortunately but youll have great images and great sound.

stock mic does not pick up that sound.
boom might be the way to go with this.
