XHA1 - matching footage with and without adapter

hi

i am shooting with an xha1 and only have one camera

sometimes i'll have the letus extreme on it for closeups but not as much for some establishing shots

is there a recommended technique for making the footage between the two setups most compatible for post?

i have not found simply "stopping down the iris by F-stops on Nikon Lens + .5 for Adapter Loss" to be perfect by any means

any tricks of the trade are much appreciated

well the thing is there were 2 DPs, one with the adapter and one without. i have a 24, 50, and 135mm... they all have they're uses. it all comes down to your "cinematic eye" on which one you thing will work best.

Watch this short I made with a few friends for a 24 hr film contest: http://torresstudios.com/broommate.html

i think its pretty evident which shots had the adapter and which didn't. Personally, I would never do it again.

Good short :)
I honestly didnt think there was any real difference in the adapter and non-adapter shots (other than DOF of course). Did you soften the non-adapter footage and/or did you do anything in post to try to match them other than color?
