We're currently producing a documentary for the 50th anniversary of a local hair school. We got to spend a few hours talking with the founder the other night. This is a little of the footage. We're still early in the production, any advice is very welcome. Thanks,
What's he referring to he sounds very negative, hope you got more positive stuff.
Anything with a better backdrop other than a brick wall. If you have more, maybe you could use other vision over his narrative. Just some thoughts.
Cheers.
Ha, yeah most of the interview was positive. This clip was for his family to see the footage, they got a laugh out of it.
We have lots of b-roll (old 16mm, pictures, ect) and won't have any trouble covering lots of the interview footage. I'll play around with the setting a little more. Most of the room we're in is brick walls. Mayhaps we can fill it up a bit though. Thanks for the suggestions.
lighting is great, the brick wall isn't bad as far as I'm concerned since it has a bit of depth to it (from the slightly skewed angle and the lighting - both on the subject and background), just my opinion though. plus you can cover it up with b-roll, etc. overall good job
