XHA1 dual xlr mic question

Hey all, I'm new to the XHA1 and will be using to shoot my football league. My question is I'm considering 2 XLR mics, maybe one on the cam and another could be 100 feet away. I'm trying to capture the sounds of the game. All audio will be filmed to the Mini DV same as the video. Having the 2 mics I'm wondering if this will somehow confuse the audio or improve it.

2 audio options is a good idea mix in your editing or use one or the other as needed in the edit you can send one channel to both left and right ...so yes use 2 mics good luck

The XLR mic that's 100ft from the A1 should be powered by 48volts from the cam to avoid noise on its cable and use good quality cable, not cheap crap off ebay.

Or use a wireless setup, be careful of RF interference from surrounding rigs.

But it should work, as long as the audio matches what's on the screen.
