Hey guys!
I've been using a Sony HDR-FX1 for about a month now because a friend let me borrow it for gigs I needed to film until I get my XH-A1. But, within the time I've spent with the FX1, it's started to grow on me, what with it's amazing low light abilities and such. But, I'd never get an FX1 becuase of it's lack of direct XLR connections and mic clamp and such. So, it was then I found the HVR-Z5U and Z1U, but then ruled the Z5U out because it's the same camera as the Z1U, but with CMOS and it's about $2,000 more. So, I want the Z1U because I was told by a friend that he wouldn't use anything else but a Sony for Weddings and such, which I will be doing soon. On the contrary, the XH-A1 is apparently horrible in low light(I am told)...I know that the XL-1S is pretty bad in low light, so, I'd believe that the A1 is too.
At this point, it's pretty much a low light fight to me, but I'd like to know from XH-A1 users that may or may not know much about the Z1U which one you think I should invest in.
