XH/A1 to HV20 as Deck ok?

Was wondering if it is suitable to use my HV20 as a desk to bring in all my footage from the A1? Will it bring in the footage into Final Cut Pro (latest version) in all the frame rates that I shoot in? including 24?

Want to do this instead of putting the wear on the tape heads of the A1. Thanks.
 
using that set up right now and it is a dream.

The HV20 is actually an allround awesome little hand-cam.
